Caprica star Sasha Roiz has signed on to join the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson's forthcoming 3D film Pompeii.Sasha Roiz has signed on to join the cast of Paul W.S. Anderson's Pompeii.The 39-year-old Caprica actor is the latest addition to the Resident Evil director's star-studded 3D drama, according to The Wrap.The movie is set in the days before the 79 AD eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the Gulf of Naples, Italy, when a village is enslaved by an evil Roman senator, played by Kiefer Sutherland.

CBS has added more names to its list of "Advocates" and "Hostages."
"Caprica" vet Esai Morales is joining the cast of CBS‘ drama pilot "The Advocates," from writer Bruno Heller and director David Nutter.
According to Deadline, "Advocates" follows the unorthodox teaming of a lawyer named Shannon Carter and an ex-con named Henry Bird, who term themselves "victim advocates," pushing the boundaries of the law in order to fight for justice. Morales will play the ruthlessly ambitious district attorney Rafael “Raffa” Cortez. CCH Pounder ("The Shield") also recently joined the cast.

John Pyper-Ferguson Cast in Mysterious Once Uon a Time Role

Once Upon a Time has found a father for Benjamin Stockham.As previously reported, that young actor will appear on Episode 17 of Once Upon a Time Season 2, coming on board as a boy who puts on a strong front but whom in reality, really misses his late mother.And now Entertainment Weekly confirms that John Pyper-Ferguson has signed on for that same installment. He will portray Ben, a “widower who wants nothing more than to help his young son heal."
Who might these characters represent from fairytale lore? Take your best guess now.
Pyper-Ferguson, meanwhile, has appeared on Brothers & Sisters and Caprica and recently completed an arc as Stanton Parish on Syfy's Alphas.

Polly Walker To Guest on 'Warehouse 13' in 2013

Polly Walker (Caprica, Rome) will guest star on SyFy’s Warehouse 13 when season 4.5 starts in April 2013.Walker will play Charlotte Dupres, a “nemesis of the Warehouse Team” and will appear in five of the ten new episodes of the hit show.With the season finale – spoilers ahead! – ending with Artie, who slowly turned into a villain over the course of the season, possibly becoming a good guy again after being stabbed by Claudia—the show is going to need a new injection of villains. Walker seems like a perfect choice.

These days, Eric Stoltz might be spending about as much behind the scenes of TV shows as he does on screen. The actor, known for Some Kind of Wonderful, Pulp Fiction and more recently, Syfy's Caprica, has been working as a director on Fox's Glee, and is credited for directing an upcoming episode of CBS' new legal drama Made in Jersey. We'll also be getting to see him on screen in an upcoming episode of the CBS series, as he's set to play a guest starring role.
EW reports that Stoltz is set to appear in a November episode of CBS' Made in Jersey. The drama stars Janet Montgomery as Martina Garretti, ....

Even before his turn in front of the throng of digital media press came around, he’d already popped his head in to good-naturedly heckle the other newcomer to the 'Fairly Legal' cast, Ryan Johnson, during his Q-and-A.

Online marriage equality comedy series Husbands pretty much stole our hearts last summer when it debuted online, just in time for gay marriage to be legalized here in New York City.
Now, executive producer Jane Espensen (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Once Upon a Time) and actors Brad “Cheeks” Bell, Sean Hemeon and Alessandra Torresani are gearing up to once again blow every other internet series out of the water with the announcement of Husbands , Season 2—but they need help! “Team Husbands” is pairing up with Kickstarter.com to raise money for the next installment of their show, which they promise to be much bigger than the last. With all the rave reviews the show received last summer/fall, it can only get better from here, right?

Of all the shows we did for Caprica, the VFX I am most proud of was an episode that took place in a monastery on Gemenon. The entire show was shot greenscreen without any sets. Gary Hutzel had two teams for the episode. All exteriors were created in CG by Dave Morton and Neal Sopata, while all the CG monastery interiors were created by me and the amazing Farrah Welch. A gigantic visual effects show, and no one watching knew it!  Above is the episode’s demo reel put together by Dave Takemura. Full screen is the finished product. ....

Caprica, Part 1 on DVD in January

There's a strong possibility that unless you're a fan of the Battlestar Gallactica retooling then you'll not have heard of Caprica. Essentially a prequel series set 50 years before the events in that show, it tells the story of how the murderous Cylons came into being and two rival dynasties, the Adamas and the Graystones, as future events are set into motion. Following the death of his daughter, Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz, Pulp Fiction, Mask) diverts his grief into researching artificial and biological intelligence and comes into conflict with the charismatic Joseph Adama (Esai Morales, 24, Jericho), beginning a battle between ethics, science and business as the war for the survival of the human race looms on the horizon.

Bye Bye Caprica?  According to Alessandra Torresani who stars in the show, yes.
Commenter  “goodridd” noted that Ms. Torresani said on Tuesday’s AOTS (G4′s Attack of the Show)  that Caprica would be canceled if they didn’t at least match the numbers for the mid season finale.

She did.  Her exact words:

Tonight is a really important episode because if we don’t get as good as the viewership that we had for the season finale of 1.0, they’re gonna cancel the show.
